Sheepadoodles.org: How long have you been breeding Sheepadoodles? And how did you get started?
Delicia from ILoveMySheepadoodle.com: We welcomed our first planned Sheepadoodle litter in June of 2016. It was a goal well worth waiting for!! And, we have fallen in love! We used to breed Goldendoodles in the years prior to that in the Mini and Tiny sizes. We chose Goldendoodles because of allergies in our family. We were drawn to the Sheepadoodle since it has even less shedding then the Goldendoodle and we love the variety of markings you can get in a Sheepadoodle. We just love the Panda bear look of the Sheepadoodle!
We started our business small with just one Goldendoodle and grew slowly with time and experience. I took the idea of taking the smaller sized Goldendoodle over to the Sheepadoodle. It was a new idea to go small with the Sheepadoodle. We loved the tiny size of the Goldendoodle and were sure the smaller size in the Sheepadoodle would be great for us and other families too! The pregnancy for the smaller sizes is not always as reliable as the Goldendoodle. However we have had some successful Mini and Tiny litters and we are so happy with the pups we have produced!! We do this because we love it. I think our name says it all! I Love My Sheepadoodle! We do pretty much everything ourselves with our family from our photography, taking care of pups and our adult dogs, running our website and social media, scooping the poop, training, grooming (I do have a friend that helps me out!), emails, researching and always trying to bring what we do up another level. Our days are full!!! It's a 24/7 commitment but we love what we do and do this together as a family.

Sheepadoodles.org: How do you select the dog parents? What qualities do you look for?

Delicia from ILoveMySheepadoodle.com: We like a quieter, friendly temperament in our parents. To us it is important that our dogs get along with everyone in our family! I am not too crazy about the hyper dogs and tend to lean towards a calmer, quieter personality myself. We look for qualities and looks that appeal to us and try to produce more for other families to enjoy! We find that the Sheepadoodle puppy is very responsive and keen to please. They are also loyal and loving. It helps so much when you have a pup like that to train and become a new part of your family.
Sheepadoodles.org: Do you offer a health contract with the new owners?
Delicia from ILoveMySheepadoodle.com: We provide a health guarantee on any genetic disease within the first year of the puppies life. We send the pup home with NuVet vitamins and extend the health guarantee to 2 yrs when the puppy owners enroll in our Vitamin Program. We sell our puppies for pet purposes so in our contract puppy owners agree to spay/neuter their pup by the age of 8 months. We also love watching our pups grow and are always pleased when the puppy owners keep us updated. We find Instagram is a fun way to keep in contact.
Sheepadoodles.org: How are your puppies socialized and when do you start?
Delicia from ILoveMySheepadoodle.com: Our puppies are raised in our nursery. We have an insulated heated or air-conditioned cottage like setting for the mother and puppies with indoor/outdoor access for mom. We have lullaby music going for the little pups. Our kids often come in and spend some cuddle time with the pups. As the pups get older weather permitting, they are allowed to explore outside. We have a large fenced in play area that each of our dogs are given time to run and play in daily.
Sheepadoodles.org: What qualities do you look for in potential homes for your puppies. And what sort of support do you offer new owners once the puppy is in their home?

Delicia from ILoveMySheepadoodle.com: We like a stable environment for the puppy to go home to and a place where they can provide adequate structure, companionship and exercise. We have training tips and links available on our website. We also send everyone home with a "Getting Ready for your Puppy" letter. On it we refer all our puppy customers to this site, sheepadoodles.org We have puppies go to young couples, young families, families with teens, semi retired couples, or retired couples. We have had our pups go to a single home too. We have had so many good experiences! We love that our puppies bring joy to so many people!
We can be reached through our website ilovemysheepadoodle.com We require applicants to fill out our puppy application before joining our waiting list. Then we require a deposit to hold a spot for their name on our waiting list. We do have waiting lists for the different sizes of Sheepadoodles we offer and they can seem long. However things open up quickly as not everyone wants a pup at a certain time so even people lower on the list often get a chance to pick a pup sooner than they think. A fun way to follow us is by following us on Instagram at #ilovemysheepadoodle or #cranbrookfamilydogs (this was our first name when we had Sheepadoodles and Goldendoodles). You can see me working with pups in training and see updates on new puppies as they arrive. We are also on Facebook and sometimes I will set up albums of a litter where you can see more pictures of the pups.
